I earned a black belt in Nick Cerio's Kenpo Jujitsu Karate! I started karate in 2010, earned my black belt in 2014, and was an active member of my dojo until 2016. I was on the Team Cerio Plainville competition team and earned over 40 awards during my karate career including National Champion, National Runner-Up, State Champion, and State Finalist awards in forms, weapons, and sparring. I learned many different skills including self defense, weapons (sword, double sword, fans, bo staff, etc.), sparring, forms, discipline, and history.

Team Cerio Plainville Competition Team
I was very involved in my dojo's Team Cerio Plainville Competition Team, participating in countless local, regional, and national competitions over the course of several years. I earned over 40 awards during my karate career including National Champion, National Runner-Up, State Champion, and State Finalist awards in forms, weapons, and sparring.
People in our dojo were usually not admitted to the competition team until they were several belts into their karate career. However, due to my talent, drive, and good attitude, I was welcomed to join the competition team from the beginning of my karate career and participate for several years, earning some of the highest possible awards for my team.
